100 Event Participants
In the Samara Region the festival "World Snow Day" took place in the ski center "Sea-gull". Its providers are the Federation of Freestyle of the Samara Region and Foundation "Development of Innovative Sports".

Within this event masters of freestyle demonstrated their skiing and trained orphan children in elementaries of skiing and freestyle (on the picture), animators showed performances. The Federation of Freestyle of the Samara Region organized this sports festival for orphan children and charity-boys and girls of the Foster Home No. 6 of the Samara City and Orphanage "Unity" of the Togliatti City. All in all 40 children came to the "Sea-gull". Children, most of which skied for the first time, learned basic technique: slopes, turns, rules of safe skiing.

The providers wish this event would promote involvement of orphan children to regular exercise and activities and also would help to develop ski freestyle within the Samara Region. The Festival in the Samara Region is expected to become traditional – it will take place every year on the 20th of January – and will be even more mass and popular.
