3000 Event Participants
“FIS World Snow Day 20/01/12” on Rosa Khutor Mountain Resort welcomed all the guests, as a true snow day, with a heavy snowfall. The large-scale festival brought together thousands of children all around the world, and for the second time was celebrated in Krasnaya Polyana, Russia gathering almost 300 children from across the region.
Holiday activities took place on Rosa Plateau at an altitude of 1170 m above sea level. One of the major features of the day were free skiing lessons for children at the Egorka Kids’ Club. On Snow Day about 30 children were able to make their first ski & snowboard "steps" under the guidance of professionals.
Parents and children that came to participate in the festival were able to take with them not only dozens of photos, but also the most breathtaking emotions: fun in a snow fortress with a labyrinth, sled-riding slope, contests and games with snow “Yeti” people, a drums master-class, scientific experiments on making snow & “snow bubbles”, ski & snowboard competition "Family snow starts", and, of course, gifts and surprises for everyone!
