World Snow Day at Lauchernalp | 22 January 2012
150 Event Participants
Although the weather conditions were not perfect, many children and families visited the Lötschental on the past World Snow Day. About 150 children took the opportunity to ski for free. At 10:00 o'clock the children were welcomed at the Snowliland Lauchernalp. The kids were divided into different groups and could then benefit from the free ski lessons of the ski school COOL SCHOOL. The kids could also rent skis, snowboards as well as sledges without any charge at the two sports shops "Kily Sport" and "Sporthaus" . During lunch time the children were invited to the various restaurants on the Lauchernalp, where they were offered a great lunch menu for CHF 10 as well as a free surprise gift (colouring book and a snowli-key ring).

Due to the unfavorable weather conditions the kids face painting as well as the kids hit parade were held at the restaurant Zudili at the Lauchernalp. All children were invited to let their face painted for free. At 13.30 o'clock the highlight of the day started: the childrens' hit parade with Michel Villa. The audience got to see seven great performances.

Thanks to great support of the community Wiler (free parking spaces), the Lauchernalp Bergbahnen (free ski passes), the cool school Lötschental (free ski courses), the sports shops "Kily Sport" and "Sporthaus" (free rental of skis, snowboards and sledges) PostBus Lötschental (free transport) and all the restaurants on the Lauchernalp (discounted food & drink) the children have experienced a wonderful day in the snow.
