Initially the event should have taken place on the ski slopes, but we had to change location because of the weather. The event happened in Anzere Village Square and was a real success and a great proof of generosity! Restaurant managers, sport shops, ski & snowboard schools as well as hotels and real estate agencies played the game to offer a free snow day to children. F&B wasready the day before. Infrastructure and logistic were prepared early morning and families started arriving at around 8.30am. There were families, but also children from institutions (ill-treated children).
20 children have been able to enjoy everything about snow on January 22nd, 2012 thank to people’s generosity. Indeed, sponsors, sport shops, TeleAnzere, Anzere ski & snowboard schools made it possible by providing equipment and services for free to children aged up to 15.
Here are feedbacks from happy parents:
“My 7 year old son tried ski for the first time at 11am, and by the end of the afternoon he could go by himself with such enthusiasm… This was possible because of instructor’s kindness and availability. Without Festi’Neige this wouldn’t have happened! I have a limited budget and skiing courses’ rates are very dissuasive.”
“It was a fantastic day and the village square with all these entertaining activities was so much fun!”
Besides, free ski and snowboard lessons, children have experienced new sensations with airboard and simulation of avalanche. BloOmplanet also participated by organising games based on eco-friendly activities in order for children to feel and understand nature to better take care of the environment.
The event is going to take place next year again, for more information contact Festi’Neige Team on their website: www.festineige.ch
