Dozens of children from Romania participated in FIS World Snow Day - Vatra Dornei. The event started with a national alpine skiing competition attended over 50 children from Bucuresti, Iasi, Cluj-Napoca, Vatra Dornei, Intorsura Buzaului, Sinaia, Brasov, Sfantu Gheorghe and Slanic Prahova. The participants received three days of free skipass in order to better prepare for the race.
For children aged 4-14 years were offered free ski & snowboard lessons with certified ski and snowboard instructors from the Euroski Vatra Dornei Ski School. Those who have been on the Veverita slope at 12.00 and 17.00 could ski for free for one hour.
The mascots race brought together dozens of children dressed in fairies, princes, dragons, pirates, musketeers and many other cartoon characters. Accompanied by ski instructors children skied in the applause of parents and others skiers.
Free ski and snowboard lessons, free ski equipment, free snowtubing, games and competitions on ski slope, free ski passes were available at World Snow Day - Vatra Dornei.
