World Snow Day 2020 Status Update

27. September 2019
World Snow Day registration has been open for only 3 months and already the event is ahead of expectations.

At the time of writing this article 60 events in 27 countries have been confirmed. This is 21 more events to the same time as the previous year. Amongst the confirmed events are World Snow Day 2019 Award winners Planica (SLO), Valiug (ROM) and SK Stara Planina (SRB) and previous World Snow Day Award winners the Danish Ski Association and Vallåsen (SWE). In addition, there have been a string of new World Snow Day events registered including Vallnord – Pal Arinsal (AND), Tuscon (USA) and Furano (JPN).

Looking closer at the actions, it is clear that tried and true methods are prevailing. Actions such as free or discounted lift passes for kids, free or discounted lessons for kids and on snow entertainment dominate event programmes.

Bring Children to the Snow Coordinator Andrew Cholinski commented “World Snow Day 2020 is off to a great start. We are looking forward to another big event on the 19th January 2020.”

Organisers have until the 15th December to register their events. Registration is free and can be done online by clicking the link below:
