The motto was ‘Explore. Enjoy. Experience’, and children at the Granfondo Millegrobbe cross country event in Italy did all three literally. The event in Trentino region (North-East Italy) was held over a two day period and was totally covered in white. Fresh snowfalls in the area made the area look even more charming than the usual, and the many participants enjoyed the snow and all the activities organised by the OC.
The Granfondo Millegrobbe is one of the most popular multi-day cross country event in Italy, that made its debut in 1977. This year’s Nordic event gave the chance to children to explore snow sports, learn new things about the surrounding environment and enjoy a fantastic day along with their families. It was a cool event, as many children pointed out, and brought some newcomers as well to the snow for the first time in life. Mission accomplished World Snow Day.
