The main venue for the fest was at the ski center ‘Sunny Valley’. Everything here was ready to host numerous fans of the snow sports. Exciting music, performances of the Belarusian singers and Djs didn’t let anyone rest from the very morning.
The program of the event included Republican competitions in Alpine skiing and races among the youngest kids in snowboard slalom Apart from that the battles in snowball and ski sprints also allowed to establish winners among amateurs. More than 250 kids took part in different competitions and races.
Folk groups, clowns and different funny characters entertained the public all day long. Everyone could get hot beverages for free. Kids from poor families and orphanages got an opportunity to use equipment and lift services for free as well as got to train under the supervision of qualified coaches.
In the framework of the “World snow day” ‘Subaru snow fest’ also took place. It included riders’ shows, where professional snowboarders from 5 different countries showcased their skills thus getting many citizens to like the extreme and comparatively young sport. Since the show took part in the evening figures of the athletes flying in the dark sky only illuminated by the spotlights created a special atmosphere.
Fire show and many funny competitions open to every visitor were very popular as well. There were valuable prizes for those who made best sculptures of snow, for the most extreme sleigh and snowbike riding and many other competitions. At the very venue a Subaru test-drive took place.
The end of riders contest wasn’t the end of the fest. Many visitors changed into alpine clothing and took part in the night riding which continued up until the very morning and was accompanied with Djs tracks.
