On January 19th and 20th 2013, the Chamonix Tourist Office in partnership with the UCPA Center Chamonix, welcomed 10 children and 3 accompanying adults from the SOS Children Village in Jarville La Malgrange

Saturday January 19th:

The children arrived on Saturday, January 19th around noon. After lunch at the UCPA Center, the group gathered on the Planards Ski area for an amusing skiing afternoon. The snack offered afterwards at the UCPA Center was very welcome.

A reception was then given for the children at the Congress Center Le Majestic with guests representing the Municipality and the partners who participated in this event and who generously offered very nice presents to the children - caps, pens, backpacks, fluffs- during this evening.

The first day ended with a night activity : a snowshoeing walk to join a typical restaurant where they can taste various specialities

Sunday January 20th:

Due to the bad weather conditions, the initially planned excursion to the Aiguille du Midi cable car was not possible. As an alternative, the children had the joy to experience the exciting luge alpine coaster at the Chamonix Leisure Park.

A last meal was offered to them by the UCPA before their return to Jarville.
