The warm weather in Lithuania has changed our program,only on 13th of January in Birstonas came first snow and cold,so one week before event.The Birstonas skiing center decided not to make snow,because the ground was not frozen.So we manage totaly diferent event.Do to the worm winter the skiing center will be not open, we did the programm even better:

PROGRAMM preliminary (changes possible do to the weather forrecast)
January 20 th. (friday)
16:00 – 18:00 . Registration near World Snow Day tent.
16:30 ZIPFY luge competitions (ZIPFY luges will be provided by organizer.)
17:00 Childrens slalom
17:30 School classes relay
18:00 Family Relay, 4 in team (mother, father or grandfather and grandmother and 2 kids until 12 years) please bring the luge with you!
16:30 – 18:00 NORDIC Walking lessons!
All children until 14 years,will get special medal-World Snow Day, diploma, and souvenirs
Everyone who will bring skis or snowbord,will get WORLD SNOW DAY sticker!!!
Winners will get „Fischer“ prizes
Organizer has the right to change the program do to the weather conditions.
The event starts with slege competitions on ourn slege,there was very creative team of youg bouys they bring the huges slege mage by themselfs.
Another event was MINI-LUGE Zipfy contest,the partner Weeride Baltics has offered the luges for free for the event,that was very big interest in new equipment,because that was very quick and speedy anf great fun and extream and freestyle.
Another event was family contest,with 11 teams-one person run uphil,and kids are going down the slope...
Local Alpine skiing couches Andzela and Vytautas,with young Alpine skiers made slalom competitions which was very attractive on natural slope and on lighted slope.
All event was made with timing and photo cell finish'Winning Time" provided by our event organizing partner UAB Tengris.All the partisipants has got the original World Snow Day medal,made from wood as reminder that all skis earlier was made from wood.All the contest and competition winners and prize places has receved the sponsors FISHER prizes and special World Snow Day diplomas.Finaly after events there still were children and they was going on the sleges down the slope engoyed the World Snow Day.
