THE EVENT IS LED BY THE FIRST GENERATION

The teenagers who were detected by our club and were part of the first Snowkidz and World Snow day events are now the ones who guide other children of the second and third generation of our activities with children.

Due to the restrictions due to the pandemic, only a limited number of people gathered was allowed, in such a way that we made the decision to celebrate it with part of our students who live near Huacachina and travel to Paracas with the instructors.

THE NEW SPOT

The seventh edition of the World Snow Day was the official event to inaugurate our second spot for the promotion of sandboarding, snowboarding, skiing, sandskiing and outdoor sports in a private area of dunes conservation where the last Sandboard World Cup 2019 (slalom modality) was held.

We have many future projects with this new spot thanks to our partner Adrenarena, whose manager is a founding member of our club.

ACTIVITIES ON SAND DUNES

One week prior to the event:

Sports equipment and Toolkit Snowkidz were transported from Huacachina to Paracas thanks to the support of the Viajes Ica company.

An inspection was carried out for the installation of learning tracks for the beginner level.

Celebration day, January 16:

11:00 am. Meeting at the bus station with the students to travel to Paracas.

01:00 p.m. Lunch together with the students and workers of the Adrenarena conservation area

02:00 p.m. share with the students playing board games like Jenga.

03.:00 p.m. Buggy transfer to a special dune area which will be our area for training and sports activities.

04:00 p.m. A mini-contest was held between students and coaches to officially inaugurate the new Paracas spot.

06:00 p.m. Return to the Adrenarena base and then travel to Huacachina to accompany the students to their homes.

MESSAGE FOR THE SAND AND SNOW COMMUNITY

We are glad that after 07 years as organizers of the first World Snow Day in Peru and Latin America, more cities in our country have joined thanks to the continuous celebration of this world day by our club and partners.

Now thanks to the agreement between the Swiss organization InterSands and the International Ski Federation - FIS, this event is now held in different Latin American countries and we are very happy that the other organizers of events in the dunes have followed this strategy of promotion for sports of snow in the dunes.

Our main stage to celebrate this day for the last six years was the dunes of Huacachina-Peru, this year due to the pandemic and a new club created by ex-members of our team and our official partner in this area, we have strategically chosen to do it in another town called Paracas (01hr from Huacachina) and let the boys of the new club carry out this celebration in Huacachina and we are very happy that they continue the work in this way we reach more children and young people in other locations with this world event.
