World Snow Day Busteni was held for the first time on the 22nd of January 2012, on the FunPark Kalinderu Slope.

The main purpose of the event was to introduce children to snow sports and winter activities and to emphasize the safety on the ski slopes and the health benefits of participating in snow sports to parents.

The main program included:
11.30-13-30: Free Ski/Snowboard lessons
11.30-16.00: Free Skipass
11.30-16.00: Free Ski/Snowboard rentals
11.30-16.00: Free Snowtubing
11.30-16.00: Free Alpine Montagne Russe

"Bring Children to the Slope" event attracted 56 children (50 for ski lessons and 6 for snowboard lessons) and over 100 parents. All our participants have accepted with great enthusiasm this initiative and their great feedback after the event has surpassed our expectations.

The event was made possible by Progressive Sports Ski School with the help of our sponsors and partners: Busteni City Hall, TravelPoint.com.ro, SkiPoint.ro, AlpinExpert.ro, SkiVirus.com.

For next year we are preparing a much bigger event, with many more activities and we hope to make it a yearly tradition for the city of Busteni. Stay tunned!
