World Snow Day – Villars-sur- Ollon – 20.01.2013
On January 20th 2013, in our beautiful ski resort of Villars-sur-Ollon the sun is shining in a deep blue sky and the Swiss Ski & Snowboard School of Villars in partnership with Villars Tourism, the ski lift company, Télé-Villars-Gryon and 4 different sport shops of Villars, Dätwyler Sport, Holiday Sport and Happy Skis and Mc Board are proud to participate for the 2nd time in the World Snow Day 2013.

Villars Tourism welcomed in their office at 8am, 109 participants with a fruit juice “My Smoothie” and a brioche “Pasquier”.
The Swiss Ski School Office, located in the Villars Tourism office, gave all the information about the schedule and their ski passes for the day. They all left to the different ski shops to get their ski or snowboard equipment and as soon as they were ready they headed to the train station and took the train to Bretaye (name of the ski fields of Villars).

All beginners must take the train from Villars to Bretaye as the cable car arrives at the top of a red run.
After a beautiful 20 minutes journey, all looking out of the window, taking pictures of our beautiful scenery, the participants arrived at destination.

6 ski instructors and 5 snowboard instructors welcomed the beginners at Bretaye Station. They were all excited to learn how to ski or snowboard, so the instructors sorted out the groups and off they went for 2 hours group lessons.
In total we had 89 adults and 20 children, 63 people had chosen ski and 46 preferred to learn to snowboard.
And out of 109 participants the 4 ski shops had 102 ski/snowboard rentals in total.

It was a great day for everyone and it was again for the 2nd time for the ski resort of Villars a beautiful success and we can’t wait to attend the World Snow Day 2014!
