Due to snow conditions in Belarus the weekend of 18-19, January turned out to be not only dedicated to World Snow Day, but the first weekend of winter snow season for Mogilev region. So people were hungry for wintery weather and snow and were happy to come celebrate the one true winter holiday – World Snow Day. Overall in Mogilev region there we over 9500 participants of the event.
Central event took place in Mogilev on the premises of ‘Spartak’ sports club’. The program of the event included Cross-Country ski races, active on-snow games and different competitions. Sports school of Mogilev that has its Alpine skiing center also joined the event and held Children Alpine Races and welcomed the children who never skied before in their life providing advice of its coaches for the newcomers.
Apart from that there were a lot of entertainments for kids and a special show prepared by local creative groups and folk teams.
