Gomel region is one of the biggest in Belarus and it turned out to be one of the most active in snow sports. Overall number of participants of all local World Snow Day events held across the region amounts to over 50 000 people.
Central event took place in Gomel, where there were close to 1500 active participants. This fest included whole specter of activities including sports ones: cross-country Races for all age groups and in many disciplines. For the youngest of Racers was organized a Race with elements of show “Racing with Santa’; and entertaining ones, such as quizzes, on-snow games and funny contests. Organizers also cared to hold informational seminars, where they informed public on main principles of personal on-snow security and principles of healthy living.
