More than thousand Gomel dwellers skied on World Snow Day. Mass Cross-country ski race took place at the bank of Sozh river in the capital of Gomel region in Belarus. Participants of the races were mainly school kids, but all the other categories of participants were very much welcome at the race as well. At the same time best football teams from local schools played Snow-ball. All of the city dwellers were welcome to take part in different on-snow games such as ‘making of a snowman’, ‘best snowball shooter’, ‘sled rides’ and different smaller contests. Most extreme winter fans took an opportunity to swim in an icy glade.
Artistic performances and Discotheque for kids were to crown the program of the day.

There were 26 World Snow Day events in the Grodno region overall, where more than 11 000 people took active part.
