The World Snow Day 2020, PLANICA 2020
Undoubtedly, also this year, the event was unforgettable.
Last year we`ve achieved something we`ve been dreaming about. Planica was recognized as Best World Snow Day 2019. This category is designed to recognize events which have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

On January 18th and 19th, 2020, the valley below Ponce hosted the World snow day event for the 9th time in a row. The event was designed for children of all ages.

The emphasis was on promoting Nordic sports, ski jumping and cross-country skiing, as well as on promoting FIS Ski Flying World Championships 2020 and FIS Nordic Ski Championships 2023 in PLANICA. We made three ski-jumping hills of different sizes for children. And cross-country tracks were prepared on a very high level.

The children were able to borrow the entire equipment free of charge. We also took care of professional guidance and excellent animation. In addition to sports activities, we provided visitors with a lot of fun with mascots, instant production of photographs and social games for the youngest. The every-years hit of the event, the search for the hidden treasure, was organized as well.

In cooperation with our partners we provided delicious snacks, warm tea and great prizes. A visit to the event was free for all visitors.

We again spent two exceptional winter days in the most beautiful valley of world championships. We had one day of snowing and one day of sunny fairy-tale winter day.

The number of our partners rises steeply each year. They have already confirmed to be part pf the next World Snow Day event in Planica 2021.
