Report

The 2nd annual “World Snow Day” has held at Roppongi Hills in Tokyo. It was the first launch out World Snow Day's event at Tokyo Japan in 2013 over the world, and more than 30,000 participants visited Roppongi over the weekend.

The event was held over a two day period. At the center of the event a huge 'hip' was constructed on which a Big Air/ Freestyle demonstration was staged. In keeping with the theme of 'children' well known athletes between the ages of 9-15 years of age from the USA, Korea and Japan took part in the demonstration. The use of people form the targeted age group excited the children and families more as those athletes will be participating in the Winter Olympic Games in South Korea 2018!

To further engage and interact the crowd, presented big events at [National Sports Festival Tokyo2013] booth and [2014 Sochi Winter Olympic games] booth, children had the opportunity to enjoy the snow in specially established play area. Snow games, sledges and snow flag races on the 60-degree hip jump landing area were some of the great activities children could participate in.

The event not only brought children to snow sports but also created a great environment for families to be together., We hope that kids who played with the snow at World Snow Day will one day come to the snowy mountain to enjoy winter sports.
