FIS World Snow Day 22 January was a success. In Lahti the traditional Kids' Winter Olympics was arranged on World Snow Day. With Lahti 2017 Candidature Committee in Organising Committee the day offered all kinds of snow activities for children of all aged. The program included different skiing and ski jumping related activities for children with free entrance to ski museum, photoshooting, horse riding, snowmobile riding, Nintendo Wii's with Eurosport, ski waxing, several mascots and the famous Moomins' Characters. Muumi family was singing and bringing fun for kids.
Extra program was photograph point, horse ride, snowmobile ride, Wii-game, ski waxing and mascots.

At the end of the Snow Day, 920 skiers, aged between 3 to 10 years, participated in Kids Winter Olympics Cross-Country Race. Everyone got a medal, certificate and a gift bag. Altogether 4'000 people explored, enjoyed and experienced the famous Lahti Sports Centre during the first World Snow Day in Lahti.

Children in Lahti are looking forward to FIS World Snow Day 2nd edition.
