For another year in a row Borovets resort was part of the FIS initiative World snow day. This year more than 200 participants joined the activities in the first Bulgarian ski resort. Borovets attracted many kids and showed them how to have fun and do sports in the snowy mountain.
For the World Snow Day Borovets offered free ski and snowboard lessons, games, entertainment, DJ party on the slopes and many more. The youngest guests in Borovets were able to enjoy the activities in the thematic snow park “Borokids”. On the day the ski passes for kids up to 13 years old were only 1 BGN and the kids under 7 years old used the facilities for free.
On the World Snow Day the ski and snowboard instructors organized free lessons for beginners and encouraged them to practice and love the winter sports. There was slalom for everyone who wanted to experience the thrills of the winter competition. The Bulgarian ski-legend Peter “Pepe” Popangelov was there to give the kids advices and motivate them.
For the curios kids there was outdoor lesson and treasure hunt with safety practices in the mountain during the winter. They also learned how to act in case of avalanche accident and how to render support in case of need.
