As follow up from last year we organized a Kids Weekend. During the weekend of the World Snow Day we organized an unforgettable day for the Belgian kids. All kids from 3-12 years old had the opportunity to try out a unique snowboarding experience. As Belgian has no ‘real’ mountains or ski areas, we organized the event on one of the Belgian indoor slopes, Ice Mountain Adventure park. They offered Kids free lift tickets, free lessons and free material. It was almost sold out with nearly 120 kids on Saturday and 120 kids on Sunday. Kids from 3-5 years had an 30 min adventure through the Burton Riglet park on snow. The kids from 6-12 years had a 60 min session with the first or experienced steps into snowboarding.

“I was impressed how fast my son learned to slide, big up to the teachers” , is one of the reactions of the satisfied parents. The crucial players were the 20 teachers who decorated the indoor hall into a attraction park. They were highly motivated and shared their fun for the snow with the kids. Luckily we had parents who helped us out with the administrations.

Finally it is such a pleasure to see all the kids with a big smile on their faces. And luckily no one got injured.
