World Snow Day took place in Donetsk, despite the warm weather and even rain. Many participants came from families.

The event looked at giving children a chance to explore, enjoy and experience snow sports and this idea was upheld throughout the event. Commencing at 9am with the cross-country ski orienteering. Participants competed well and thoroughly enjoyed the event. Following on from the event the ski cross was conducted and although the course was a little challenging all participants completed the course in great times. Children had the chance participate in the event with a shorter distance and each family returned with positive comments.

To make the day thoroughly enjoyable those who did not have cross country gear, equipment was provided on the day and warm tea accompanied with an open fire made for a great atmosphere
