Report from SLOVAKIA, LITMANOVA 17.1.2016

On 17th of January 2016 we organized WORLD SNOW DAY in ski resort SKI Litmanova, Slovakia. We were blessed with beautiful weather - a bit of sun a bit of snowing – so the nicest you can imagine, as you can also see on the pictures and video we did.
Great atmosphere was multiplied with amazing DJ who also moderated whole day and added a great spirit to all participants.
We had over 80 people joining us on this day, with majority of small kids.
At the beginning we had an idea to attract parents and their kids to spent a day full of snow sport activities. Excellent idea was to do a parallel slalom so the kids could race their friends and not only that, but also their parents and other adults willing to race.
We were very kindly surprised how our participants were handling DEMO skiing.
At the end of the WSD all participants received a medal and diploma of participation. Everybody received also a sticker and starting number as a memory of this wonderful day.
We used all material and toolkit received from FIS and also thanks to that, our Day had a flavor of Little World Cup.
We are very glad that we could participate to this amazing project which brings more attention to Skiing in our country and especially to our region. Also we enjoyed this day so much even our self‘s that we would love to organize WSD in the future again.
