The World Snow Day 15th January was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in a new location Lalko in open field. This area has all the potential of a ski resort. As the owner of our area ski resort denied facilitating the skiers as was in practice. We were lucky to have snow fall in the beginning of the January. The locals were expose to skiing for the first time in their life. As a whole the elder and youngster of the area welcome us and praised our efforts. We did ski training for few days. Due to heavy snow assess to the slope was very difficult. The event was covered by the newspapers and TV. The Facebook response was very mush encouraging. The District Sports Committee Chairman and Youth Consular was chief guest on the occasion. We have no sponsor, all the arrangements were made by us.
