On the World Snow Day 2013 Kitzbühel Tourism invited 23 children and 5 supervisors of the SOS Kinderdorf Osttirol to spend a marvellous day in the snow. The weather was wonderful and the kids were in a good mood when they arrived in Kitzbühel early in the morning. They were served hot chocolate and "Faschingskrapfen" as a welcome present and provided with ski gear. All in all five ski instructors of the ski school element3 took over the group and made the day unforgettable for the kids. They went freestyle skiing in the fresh powder, built ramps, played in the snow and much more. After a joint lunch at the restaurant Hochkitzbühel the children had the unique opportunity to visit the start house of the legendary Hahnenkamm Race which took place a week later than the World Snow Day and was already fully prepared for the final race. In the afternoon the kids went on skiing. At 3 pm the whole group met at the Hotel Rasmushof for a press photo and a snack. The kids were given original starting numbers of the Hahnenkamm Race and Kitzbühel headbands as a present. After buiscuits and hot chocolate the children from the SOS Kinderdorf went back home with a big smile in their faces. A successful and great day in Kitzbühel!
