Our WSD event took place as planned (18.01.2015, Selce-Cachovo)with minor deviations due to snow restrictions.
We were however able to organize mini giant slalom race completed with time measure. We used model of 5 runs per rider counting the best run into the classification. However we must point out that despite various times in finish line, somehow it happened, that everybody won and got the prize!!! Even guy-on-duty from the resort SkiRescue did the run and got the prize. Well, why not?
Apart of the GS race, lot of time was dedicated to practising ski technique in reasonable sized groups of kids and dedicated trainers and ski-teachers.
Due to good marketing we were able to attract quite a number of people who visited the resort just on purpose of checking out what this WSD is all about. Also the management of the resort made significant effort in promotion and making sure the event ran smoothly and with no issues and failures.
This was our second WSD event and we are now cementing a tradition of WSD within our ski club as prime organizer in or region. In management of Selce resort we found reasonable partner who understood the business and public potential of the event and we are on the great path to have WSD 2016 even more spectacular and widely recognized event in our region.- Free skis snowboards use
