Over 270 young people start to skicross-races on Emmetten-Stockhütte

The weather conditions prior to the opening were anything but ideal. Rising temperatures, strong winds and a constantly fluctuating snow line prepared the organisers a few headaches. On Saturday afternoon, they decided the race to perform. "It's not easy to decide in such a situation. But we wanted to offer young people a start whenever possible. "a visibly pleased chief organizer said after the race. The two race directors Erwin Würsch and Werni Barmettler were also satisfied with the snow sport event. "We have always been strongly demanded, but the lift-staff and over 80 volunteers have supported us very well," recorded Werni Barmettler after work.

The Sign of the World Snow Days

The two skicrossruns presented on Sunday morning in a fairly wet situation. With the use of salt, the snow could be bound in a compact course. After the first Run the race track was still in good condition, also the 2nd Run could be started according to schedule. It was also an important concern of the organizers to offer the young people, at the World Snow Day two options of starting. The International Ski Federation FIS had proclaimed this world snow day with the idea to move as many children on the snow. This effect is achieved safely and with the organizers of the outstanding 3 cup races, they will certainly support this intention sustainabl. At the awards ceremony all started kids have gotten a beautiful backpack from the main sponsor.
