On 19 January 2020 the Cyprus Ski Federation celebrated the WORLD SNOW in the impressive Troodos mountains at the crowded Sun Valley Ski Centre. At the coziness of our ski centre the Cyprus Ski Federation offered beginners lessons and ski/snowboards and helmets to all the children participants who had visited the ski center.
Important part of our “World Snow Day 2020” was the participation of our Federation’s Cyprus Ski Athletes who had provided ski and snowboard instruction. Ski Officials where there as well taking care of the event.
Other important sponsors were Bridgestone, Petrolina (Holdings) Public Ltd and Carlsberg have also provided sponsorship for the event.
The kids looked very enthusiastic of the event and have shown signs that they will continue to engage with skiing in the future.
It gives us a great satisfaction to see all this little kids participating in winter sports and improve year by year. We hope next year, 2021 the event of the World Ski Day part of the “Bring Children to the Snow” will be held in safe and enjoyable conditions for all the participants.
