Garmisch Partenkirchen World Snow Day | 19 January 2014
60 Event Participants
World Snow Day looks to introduce new children to the world of snow sports. What better way to do this than invite children from the city to try.

To celebrate World Snow Day Garmisch Paternkirchen hosted 60 children from the Sport im Hort in Munich. Normally not having the chance to try snow sports the children were transported by bus from Munich to the resort. Thank to excellent weather the day went perfectly.

The children were provide free equipment and instruction from the Felix Neureuther Ski Academy. All participants had never skied before but with in minutes they had mastered the basics. With some fun games and a little push the children were enjoying the lifts in no time. By lunch the children were skiing confidently.

After a brilliant lunch the children returned to the hill to master their skills. Parents enjoyed the sight and remarked how much fun their children were having.

At the end of the day all participants left with a smile and memories to last a life time.

Organisers of the event would like to thank Sanetta, Garmisch Partenkirchen Tourism, Zugspitzbahn, SportScheck and the Felix Neureuther Ski Academy.
