World Snow Day in Sapporo - Enjoying the snow | 20 January 2013
1700 Event Participants
The event of World Snow Day in Sapporo 2013 was held in Shirahatayama Cross-Country Stadium (Site of Nordic WSC 2007) on 20th January 2013 along with participants of 1700 citizens popular-skiing 5 km, 10km and 15 km courses.

In the beginning, children learned how to walk with skies and cross-country skiing in a seminar with their parents. Although struggling against an unfortunate snowy strong wind, some children improved faster and most of them enjoyed the experience.

Then, the opening ceremony was followed by skiers starting each course: 5km, 10km and 15km.

The participants have finished in a time of their own pace depending on technique and strength, and had an enjoyable day by skiing together with families and ski lovers.

We hope our efforts could be of some help to promote skiing to the next generations with our sponsors and partners.
