Trofeo Topolino XC Ski Race - World Snow Day | 21-22 January 2012
3000 Event Participants
What a day it’s been in Val di Fiemme with the Topolino Cross Country Skiing Trophy (Trofeo Topolino Sci di Fondo). Over 1.400 skiers between the ages of 8 and 16 gathered inside the famous XC stadium in Lago di Tesero and celebrated the World Snow Day on a 2-day amazing sport event. Participants reached the famous Italian valley from all over the world, and besides competing in an international race for youngsters and kids, they were given the opportunity to enjoy and attend various free activities specially designed to create something unforgettable for all. The Disney village with games and face-painting coloured basically… everyone, and the opening ceremony in Castello di Fiemme centre delighted boys, girls and their families and friends who enjoyed the spectacular fireworks and parade. The classic Disney evening involved many kids who admired jugglers at the theatre and a conjurer who left everyone’s mouth open.
Around 3.000 people gathered inside the XC stadium during the 2012 World Snow Day to cheer on the mini-skiers, who also enjoyed the Art for Fans stickers’ decoration and flags.
Not just a race then, the Topolino Cross Country Skiing Trophy has once again been an incredible experience for everybody, a celebration of snow in all its aspects, especially the funny and entertaining ones, and nobody left Val di Fiemme disappointed.
Since World Snow Day, we have received numerous "Thank-You" notes from participants and parents who were thrilled to play with us and with all the hundreds of people who attended this fantastic event. And with Topolino (aka Mickey Mouse) as well, of course!
