World snow day was celebrated first time in Iceland last january 22th. It was in cooperation prodject with Icelandic Ski accociation(SKÍ), ski areas and the local ski clubs. SKÍ took care of all preparation for the prodject, we made agrements with radio stations who addvertised and talked about this events the whole week before . Also we made special addvertising plagats and flags with the world snow day (snjór um víða veröld) logo. Ski areas made special offers for children, free ski passes (in some areas it was free fore everybody)and special offers for ski equipment. The ski clubs took care of free ski lession fore 12 years and younger, alpine,crosscountry and snowboard, also they delivered hot coco and lottery tickets for every 12 years and younger. SKÍ took care of drawing in the lottery, price was year passes in winners ski area and debet in ski and outdoors stores. All this events and special offers was made under the name of World snow day and the logo was very visible both on the areas and in towns before.
